Until We Meet Again
Was inspired by the 32 beautiful weeks of 'Together In Song' gatherings which I began hosting in March of 2020 when the world was asked to shelter at home. In those many months over 3000 people joined us from the US and around the world to connect in song.
56 song leaders joined me to lead songs and lift spirits. During that time we donated $11,000 dollars to various social justice organizations and we stayed connected and afloat in uncharted waters. This song tells the story of what we made together.

LINER NOTES AND LYRICS FOR SWEET TIME CD.
Maggie Wheeler's Sweet Time is a big surprise. Best known for her role as the annoying Janice on TV’s Friends, Maggie’s singing voice couldn’t come from a more different place. Each of the nine songs are written and sung in many parts by Wheeler whose voice is a rich, earthy prayer from the heart. Characterized by lush, layered harmonies, this is music with soul (both big S and small s soul) made to heal the spirit. Mostly a capella, accompaniment is minimal: bass and drums by Paul McKee here, a nice djembe beat by Meredith Scott Lynn there, improvised vocal percussion by Emile Hassan Dyer. There is a driving insistence here. The songs range from the lovely plaint of Who Am I to the urgent rap of Come On, to the strident “No” of We Will Not Be Satisfied (based on a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.). But it is in Too Much Rain, where Wheeler shows her cards. “Why don’t you wail? Wail at the Moon!” she asks us. And later she exhorts, “ Your soul is not for lending/or putting on hold/ you need to bold!” Bold indeed.

Maggie Wheeler's latest CD project " Walk With Me" is an is an inspiring collection of original songs for choirs and communities sung in multi part harmony by Maggie Wheeler, with rich instrumental arrangements by Thomas Griep and percussion by Emile Hassan Dyer. Maggie has been leading communities in song for over 25 years and co-directing the Los Angeles based Golden Bridge Choir since 2005.

Maggie says about the music she writes, "Music comes to me when I really need it, to help me through, to give me courage or comfort, to help mourn or celebrate. I hope you will take these songs with you on your journey and that they might come to you when you need them."
Over the years many have watched, listened and loved Maggie Wheeler's version of "Michael Row" on "The X Files" but were only able to hear it in the context of the episode with dialogue over the recording .
